A man has died in London today after he was stabbed to death in Harrow as a knifeman is on the run, reports My London. The victim is believed to be a man in his 40s and was pronounced dead at the scene following the attack.
The attack happened at 6am on Saturday July 8 on Pinner Road near to the junction with Station Road.
Parts of Gloucester Road and Westmorland Road have been cordoned off following the stabbing as police begin an investigation. There have been no arrests.
A forensic tent has been put in place near North Harrow Library on Pinner Road with a large police cordon in place.
The road remains closed in both directions.
The Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 06:25hrs on Saturday, 8 July to reports of a man stabbed in Pinner Road, North Harrow.
“Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance all attended the scene. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man – believed aged in his 40s – was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A crime scene remains in place. No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD1721/8July. You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
Photos shared online by those who were at the scene show a police forensic tent in place on the pavement just outside North Harrow Library on Pinner Road.
Due to the road closure, a number of bus routes have been forced to divert this morning. Pinner Road is currently closed in both directions between Westmorland Road and Station Road in North Harrow.
