Vacancy: Head of Worship and; Creative

Christ Church Spitalfields is located in one of the most creative, vibrant and multicultural communities in the UK with a global impact.

For almost 300 years our iconic building has been home to a worshipping community. Today, Tower Hamlets is one of the youngest and fastest growing boroughs in the country with 51% of the population under 29.

To reach this generation, Christ Church is taking the lead on a project through Strategic Development Funding to grow 6 new worshipping communities over the next 5 years to see a renewal of the way of Jesus in Tower Hamlets.

To do this, we’re looking for someone to join our team with a calling to develop a worship culture centred around the presence of God.

This means cultivating a place in which the presence of God rests, and in which people are transformed through encountering Jesus.

We are looking for someone who walks intimately with God and is secure in their identity in Him, with significant experience in leading worship, casting vision for and training people in a culture of worship across the church, and raising up and pastoring a volunteer worship team.

We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME), women, and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy and workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.
