Neighbourhood pasta restaurant Noci has announced the opening of a second restaurant on Tuesday 16th May. The new site at the newly restored Battersea Power Station will continue the original Islington restaurant’s focus on fresh, handmade pasta dishes made with seasonal ingredients, with an emphasis on creating a lively neighbourhood atmosphere.
The move comes a year after Noci’s original venue opened in Islington, following a successful pop-up at Mortimer House the previous November. The easy-going North London restaurant became an instant hit with the area’s locals and those looking to discover delicious, fresh pasta and regional Italian dishes in a vibrant part of London.
The original restaurant is a firmly established destination in the N1 postcode, and now Noci’s move into Battersea Power Station, one of London’s newest and most exciting riverside neighbourhoods following the opening of the Grade II listed landmark and Electric Boulevard, a new pedestrianised high street in October 2022,, will see its fresh pasta reach a whole new swathe of Londoners and visitors to the Capital.
In keeping with its Islington restaurant, Noci Battersea will serve small plates and pasta dishes, as well as snacks inspired by Sicilian street food and cocktails on tap. Alongside this will be an enviable list of Italian wines, with an emphasis on independent producers using low-intervention methods.
Snacks will include fritti, savoury Sicilian-inspired fried snacks, made for the table to share and designed as a perfect way to kick off the meal alongside seasonal spritzes or sparkling wines.
The hallmark of the menu will be homemade plates of raviolo and silken handkerchief pasta with the best seasonal ingredients from farmers, producers and artisans across Europe. A compact dessert menu includes Gianduja chocolate & hazelnut budino and Ricotta cheesecake, clementine jelly & dark chocolate with vegetarian and vegan options throughout.
The atmosphere will be relaxed and convivial in the daytime, while in the evening it will become a lively, social setting to enjoy anything from a drink and aperitivo to a celebration dinner. Diners will be able to book for lunch and dinner seatings, while passers-by can pop in for a quick lunch during their shopping trip to the Power Station, pre-cinema feasting and after-work cocktails and nibbles.
The à la carte menu will be the restaurant’s centrepiece, as well as a set-lunch menu perfect for workers looking for a quick and delicious bite to eat. The festa sharing menu will also be available for the entire table to enjoy.
