Andreas Voglsammer reacts to scoring his first Millwall goal – South London News

Andreas Voglsammer has given his verdict on scoring his first goal for Millwall.

The German attacker fired the Lions ahead in yesterday’s 2-0 win over Watford at Vicarage Road.

It was Voglsammer’s first time on the scoresheet since his August switch from Union Berlin.

“I didn’t really have a feeling – it was just relief,” he told Millwall TV. “For a long time not scoring I didn’t really have chances. The last game I had to score one goal and I didn’t score it. It was fantastic [to do it] in front of the crowd who travelled to Watford. I’m really happy and enjoyed the moment.

“As a striker you always want to assist or score goals but I’m old enough to know that winning the game is most important than who scores the goals or how many goals I scored.

“It [playing wide right] is not my perfect position but I’m doing it for the team so that we reach our goals and to play well.”
