A woman has been charged with the murder of two young boys who were found dead at a property in Dagenham, the Metropolitan Police said.
Kara Alexander, 44, will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court later today.
Emergency services were called at around 2pm on Friday to the property in Cornwallis Road, in Dagenham, east London, where the bodies of a two-year-old boy and a five-year-old boy were discovered.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the location.
Police said their family have been informed and continue to be supported by specialist officers.
Post-mortems and formal identifications will be arranged in due course.
Alexander was arrested a short time later in connection with the incident and was charged on Monday with two counts of murder.
