A look inside Dua Lipa’s London home shows she’s a traditionalist

London-born singer Dua Lipa may be renowned worldwide (and hold both British and Albanian citizenship), but her primary residence remains in the UK capital.

Reportedly located in West Hampstead, an affluent neighborhood in north London, Dua Lipa’s residence is among the most exclusive properties – and one of the world’s best homes. The singer’s decorating ideas are just as fashionable as her zip code – featuring an airy skylight roof that fills her living space with light, pastel kitchen appliances and a striking brick wall that brings hints of a New York-style aesthetic to London.

Dua Lipa grew up in the same area of West Hampstead long before beginning her music career. After some time living in Pristina, Kosovo, the singer moved back to the UK and began to gain celebrity status. The multiple Brit and Grammy Award-winner is best known for her songs Levitating, Be the One, New Rules, and One Kiss with DJ Calvin Harris. Here, we take a glimpse inside her home.

Dua Lipa’s entryway

With its checkered encaustic Victorian tiles and forest green tile trim, Dua Lipa’s front porch and entryway area is in keeping with the period properties of the area.

West Hampstead is known for its large Victorian houses, built during the industrial boom of the mid-to-late 1800s. And most properties like hers have period features both outside and in that are sought-after by Londoners, who are encouraged by local authorities to maintain and preserve the authenticity of the materials used by the original Victorian builders.

Her living room

If you want to learn more about Dua Lipa’s favorite textiles and paint ideas, her living room is arguably the most telling space in her house. The most striking feature is perhaps the exposed, dark brick wall that creates a stark contrast with the glass sliding door that makes up almost an entire wall on one side.

It is extremely likely that this part of the back of her house is an addition: Victorian properties were typically split into small rooms that were easier to heat; the trend for open-plan living and modern heating means many Londoners have added single story additions to the back of their homes to create large, open plan kitchen/diner/living rooms.

Dua’s epitomizes indoor/outdoor living through the expansive glass windows and doors that fill the room with natural sunlight and provide a view of her yard. For celebrity-approved sofa ideas, you can learn a lot from the singer, who has covered her gray couch with a multicolored patterned quilt that brings an injection of vibrancy to the otherwise neutral-painted room.

The singer’s marble-topped kitchen

Dua Lipa may have incorporated color through textiles in her living room, but her kitchen is notably more eclectic. The singer has dark blue-green cabinets that sit alongside the textured marble countertop – creating a luxe contrast that gives the space a contemporary feel.

Much like Hilary Duff, who has this Smeg toaster in her kitchen, Dua showcases a baby blue Smeg kettle that sits amongst her small Mason jars and wine bottles.

Dua’s mirrored bathroom

With its ivory marble and surrounding mirrors, Dua’s bathroom ideas are just as impressive as the rest of her home. The mirrors reflect the delicate spotlights that give the room a hotel-style ambiance that is fit for the star, while the marble soaking tub is the ultimate nod to luxury. We’re entirely inspired.
