New life for former Nestlé factory | Business

The first tenants have moved into the new warehouses at Hayes Village, the former Nestlé factory in west London, which is being redeveloped by Segro and Barratt.

The development is the first project by the two FTSE 100 companies, which are turning the disused factory and the 30 acres of grounds that it sits within into a site with hundreds of flats and four warehouses.

Segro bought the old factory in 2015 and brought in Barratt as a partner to build out the residential side.

The first residential tenants moved into their homes two years ago, although Barratt does not expect to finish the last of its 1,400 or so flats on the site until about 2028. The warehouses, which Segro is building, have only
