Hypothermia warning for cold water swimmers | News

A growing number of cold water swimmers are catching hypothermia as temperatures drop, according to one of London’s most popular outdoor pools.

The Parliament Hill Lido, in Hampstead, north London, which has an unheated open air swimming pool, has warned inexperienced swimmers not to stay in the cold water too long, after at least one person a day in the last week suffered from hypothermia as temperatures fell earlier this month.
