Southampton man charged after London Road attack

The attack took place on Monday in London Road at around 2pm. 

Andrzej Sawko, 36, of no fixed address, has been charged with common assault, assaulting an emergency worker by beating, possession of a class B drug, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and criminal damage.

He appeared in court on Tuesday and was released on bail while inquiries continue.

He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, December 22.
