Healthy supermarket retailer Planet Organic plans to open a south-west London store in Teddington at the end of February 2023.
Re-fit and construction works will begin in December where the chain will be taking over 60-62 Broad Street which previously belonged to high street favourite Johnsons Shoes that was forced into closure shortly after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Planet Organic is the UK’s largest fully certified organic supermarket, and the largest chain of Soil Association accredited stores. The brand is well known for its high quality, organic and planet-friendly ingredients.
Recently, Planet Organic launched its first store outside London in Henley-on-Thames, kick starting the retailer’s store expansion plan that aims to have 50 stores in and around London by 2024.
Teddington will prove to be a strong catchment for Planet Organic’s target customers, with many seeking healthier, alternative options for their weekly food shop.
To support its ambitious plans, Planet Organic is currently undertaking a crowdfunding campaign through Seedrs, providing customers with the opportunity to invest in Planet Organic’s future and be a part of their journey.
Nick Ridley, property & operations director, said: “We are delighted to be launching our next new store in Teddington where we look forward to welcoming customers to discover better at Planet Organic. In the coming weeks we will be converting the 2,809sqft space at 60-62 Broad Street, continuing our exciting expansion in key London locations.”
