Arsenal’s January transfer ‘priority’ revealed – 101 Great Goals

An insight into the plans of the powers that be at Premier League giants Arsenal to reinforce the club’s playing ranks following the turn of the year has been provided late on Saturday.

The Gunners, of course, are currently flying high atop the English top-flight table.

Owing to a remarkable run of 11 wins from 13, Mikel Arteta’s troops have established themselves as, in the eyes of many, legitimate contenders for the title.

Their latest triumph, at the expense of Wolves last weekend, saw Arsenal open up a full five-point advantage over 2nd-placed Manchester City heading into the World Cup break.

Safe to say, then, that all associated with Arsenal are thoroughly enjoying the recent developments on the red half of north London.

But, if the latest word stemming from the media on Saturday evening is anything to go by, then it would appear that the Emirates hierarchy are far from ready to rest on their laurels.

Instead, reinforcements to Arteta’s ranks, and telling ones at that, could well be on the horizon.

As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Edu Gaspar and co. have identified their ‘priority’ signing for the January transfer window, in the form of Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhailo Mudryk.

Wide-man Mudryk, of course, has been hotly tipped for a move to north London for several weeks now, amid claims that the explosive young talent has been identified as the ideal addition to Arsenal’s frontline.

In turn, a big-money proposal on the part of the Gunners is expected to be tabled upon the winter window swinging open on January 1st.
