Florence Welch has postponed her Dance Fever tour after breaking her foot while performing at London’s O2 Arena on Friday.
The singer, 35, who is the frontwoman of Florence + The Machine, took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday to break the news to her fans.
She wrote: ‘I’m so sorry to say that after an X-ray it seems like I was dancing on a broken foot last night.

‘It is not in my nature to postpone a show, and certainly not a UK tour, but I’m in pain and as dancers know, dancing on an injury is not a good idea.
‘And I have been told not to perform to avoid further damage.
‘Please hang on to your tickets. We are working our hardest to reschedule these dates for next year and we will let you know as soon as possible.

‘I’m heartbroken as the Dance Fever tour has been my favourite show we have ever put on. The communion with you. Your beautiful faces shining.

‘I can’t wait to be back on my feet and back in your arms.’
It comes after Florence + The Machine took to London’s O2 Arena on Friday evening for their Dance Fever tour, with Florence realising during the performance that she was dancing on a broken foot.

She showed off her boho sense of style in a statement gown, which featured a gorgeous ruffle detail.
The coral garment was also adorned with a sequin-lace detail and sheer panel, with the sleeves falling into a mesh wing as the ruffle tiers fell below them.
The You Got The Love hitmaker left her copper locks to fall freely to her chest in a tousled style, as she lightly enhanced her fair complexion with a soft brush of makeup.
Florence put on a typically show-stopping performance in the capital’s venue, once going without shoes as she took to the stage.
Despite never completely revealing the reason for her barefoot performances, it’s a common theme for the songstress.

During the performance, she appeared energetic while jumping in the air and throwing both arms above her and to her side.
The show was the latest in the band’s Dance Fever tour, which is promoting their fifth studio album.
The production sees Florence and her indie band take to the stage in locations such as Australia, New Zealand, Greece and Spain in 2023.
It comes after the star recently admitted she was ‘haunted’ by the idea of having children and doesn’t feel like she is ready to become a mother yet.
The performer, who has not been publicly linked to anyone since Felix White from The Maccabees in 2016, said that while she is scared she also dreads the idea of missing the opportunity of having children.

Speaking candidly to Rolling Stone magazine she said: ‘The way that it feels to me now, which maybe is creeping through on this album, is that it feels like a slow, creeping overtake.
‘It feels like a little ghost — I feel haunted by the idea of children, rather than feeling like ‘I’m ready!
‘But then, it’s this dread, that maybe you’re not ready now, but what if you then get to the place where you’re sure and you’ve missed it?
‘Time isn’t on your side, and that kind of rage is what the scream at the end of ‘King’ is — I’m not saying I don’t want these things; I just want more time! But… time isn’t like that. You can’t escape it.’
