National League: Solihull Moors 0 Dagenham & Redbridge 3

Matt Robinson netted twice on his birthday to help Dagenham & Redbridge to the National League points at Solihull Moors.

Joel Taylor came into the starting line-up after joining on a two-month loan deal from Notts County.

And barely two minutes had been played when captain Matt Robinson saw his shot deflected past Ryan Boot.

Elliot Justham tipped a Josh Kelly effort onto the crossbar on seven minutes, then turned Maycock’s shot on the turn around a post just before the half-hour mark, after debutant Taylor had fired straight at Boot.

The visitors should have doubled their lead when Mo Sagaf squared for Josh Walker on a counter-attack, but a heavy touch allowed Boot to claim.

And an unmarked Kelly blazed over Justham’s crossbar three minutes before the break.

Josh Hare cleared a loose ball after Justham had spilled it nine minutes into the second half and Daggers doubled their lead on 71 minutes when Walker pounced on a mistake in the home defence to poke past Boot.

Dean Rance and substitute Omar Mussa were booked in quick succession before Ben Coker fired over for Moors.

And Daggers went 3-0 up seven minutes from time as Junior Morias saw his shot saved by Boot and the ball bounce kindly for Robinson to head home his second.

Dagenham & Redbridge: Justham, Weston, Hare, Onariase, Phipps, Taylor (Mussa 71), Rance, Robinson, Sagaf, Walker (T Johnson 90), Morias (Smart 88). Unused subs: E Johnson, Zouma.
