I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here stars from south London

ITV’s reality tv show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! returns tonight, and some of the celebrities in this year’s series are from south London.

With the first episode coming toTVs at 9pm, News Shopper has looked at past and current celebrities who swapped south London for the jungle.

From the former health secretary to the presenter of Loose Women, this year’s show includes celebrities who live or were born south of the river Thames.

Boy George

Boy George, the lead singer in the 1980s band Culture Club, was born in Bexley in 1961.

The English singer then grew up in Eltham, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Culture Club is best known for global hit songs including Karma Chameleon, Do You Really Want to Hurt Me and Time (Clock of the Heart).

George currently lives in north London’s Hampstead.

He has previously spoken about his love for Kent, where he spent his childhood.

Matt Hancock

Wandsworth is where Matt Hancock’s partner, Gina Coladangelo, lived with her husband and Oliver Bonas owner Oliver Tress before her extramarital affair with Hancock.

Hancock has been criticised in recent days by fellow Conservative MPs and the public for accepting a fee of £400,000 to appear on the show.

The pair now live together and have both left their family homes.

Charlene White

The host of the ITV daytime chat show Loose Women lives in south London and was born in Greenwich in 1980.

The 42-year-old attended the south east London school Blackheath High School and graduated from the London College of Printing.

Charlene set a record in broadcasting when she became the first black woman to present ITV News at Ten.

She lives with her partner Andy, and their two children.

Mo Farah

Mo Farah, who lives in Teddington, did not fly out to Australia but signed up to the reality tv show in 2020 when it took place in Gwrych Castle in Abergele, Wales.

The four-time gold medallist came fifth out of 12 contestants.

After leaving the castle, Farah returned to his home in Teddington which he shares with his wife Tania and their children.

Mo’s Teddington home is very luxurious and includes a large garden and games room.

Nick Knowles

Nick Knowles’ former home was in Chiswick in south west London.

The English TV presenter joined Harry Redknapp and others in the jungle in 2018.

He is best known for presenting DIY SOS.
