  • Man was arrested yesterday morning by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command
  • The man, 20, was arrested on suspicion of disseminating terrorist publications 
  • Was detained under PACE and has since been bailed to a date in early February

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in west London on suspicion of disseminating Islamist terrorist propaganda.

The man was arrested at a residential address yesterday morning by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command. 

He was arrested on suspicion of disseminating terrorist publications under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006. 

The investigation relates to suspected Islamist terrorism, a statement from the Met Police said. 

The man was detained under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) and taken to a London police station. He has since been bailed to a date in early February 2023.

Searches were carried out at the address and enquiries are ongoing.
