A woman was evacuated from the home which had been converted into flats.

Four adults and two children are also believed to have been taken to safety from nearby homes.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) confirmed they currently have no reports of injuries.

LFB said: “We don’t currently have any reports of injuries, but as the incident is ongoing that could change.”

It is understood the roof collapsed into the loft space.

Firefighters and Met Police officers arrived at the scene on Blackhorse Road just after 9.30am and are still there now.

The area is expected to be shut for 48 hours where a 25 metre cordon has been put in place.
