Tottenham 1-1 Sporting LIVE! Champions League result, match stream, latest reaction and updates today

Tottenham look to get things back on track as they welcome Sporting to north London in the Champions League tonight. Antonio Conte’s side go into the match having suffered back-to-back defeats against Manchester United and Newcastle, producing concerns displays at both ends of the pitch.

Spurs were also beaten by Sporting in Portugal earlier this season but still sit top of Group D, even if only three points separate top from bottom. Victory tonight would be enough to send them into the knockout stages, and if it’s coupled with an Eintracht Frankfurt win over Marseille then Tottenham will be confirmed as group winners with a match to spare.

Conte has made six changes from the side that lost to Newcastle, with Lucas Moura making his first start of the season as Spurs go back to their favoured 3-4-3. As expected for Sporting, Marcus Edwards starts on his return to north London. Follow all the action with Standard Sport’s LIVE blog below.

FT: Tottenham 1-1 Sporting

And that is the final whistle.

Wow. What a finish it was, Spurs so good in the second-half but they only have a point to show for it.

Sporting will be happy with the draw considering the pressure they were under.

VAR has disallowed it!

Conte absolutely furious and he’s been shown a red card. Chaos in north London!

Still 1-1.

VAR check…

Uh oh.

VAR check for offside, that’s killed the mood. Worrying moments for Spurs.

GOAL! Tottenham 2-1 Sporting | Harry Kane 90+5′

Harry Kane in the final minute of added time, inside the six-yard box and he’s delivered once again for Spurs.

They’re going to be group winners!

90+3 mins: Spurs have remembered how to press since the break, look much better for it.

Gil feeds it to Bentancur, he has the chance to get his and Spurs’ second but he leans back and balloons the shot over the bar.

90+2 mins: Five minutes added on, Sporting desperate to hear this final whistle. What a turnaround it’s been in the second half.

One last chance to come?

90 mins: Almost from Dier!

He drifts into the box, ball stood up to him but from six-yards out he sends the header wide! Another huge chance that he can’t make the most of.

Sporting hanging on for dear life – but here they come again on the counter. Lloris with another big save!
