Air ambulance called to ‘medical emergency’ in London Road, Bushey

An air ambulance was called to a “medical emergency” that led to a road closure.

On Wednesday, October 19 London Road in Bushey was closed by police after they were called to an incident at 1.30pm.

A police spokesperson said: “It was reported that a man was suffering from a medical episode.

“Officers attended to put road closures in place.”

Just before schools closed for the day at 2.28pm Herts Police asked people to avoid the area because traffic was building.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust confirmed a man was later taken to hospital.

A spokesperson said: “An ambulance, ambulance officer, rapid response vehicle and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance attended.

“Crews treated a male patient at the scene before transporting him by road to Harefield Hospital for further assessment and care.”
