The Department for Education has published the full list of all the providers accredited to offer initial teacher training (ITT) from September 2024, after the conclusion of the second round of the government’s ITT market review.
The move comes after Tes yesterday revealed that 99 organisations had passed the second and final round of reaccreditation, taking the final list of approved providers to 179 – meaning the market will be shrunk, in terms of the number of separate instiutions offering courses, by 25 per cent.
The successful providers will now join the 80 providers awarded accreditation after round one to offer ongoing teacher training in England.
