Four people struck by a car in West London, two in a critical condition

Met Police have issued a statement and are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Hounslow during which four pedestrians were struck by a car.

In the statement, Met Police said: “Police were called at 02:43hrs on Sunday, 25 September, to reports of a car in collision with four pedestrians in Taunton Avenue, Hounslow.

“The four men, aged in their early 20s, were taken to hospital. Two remain in a life-threatening condition; the other two sustained injuries which have been assessed as life-changing.

“The driver of the car did not stop at the scene. The car, a Nissan Qashqai, was found by police in Hounslow a short time later. Urgent enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate the driver.

“No arrests have been made at this time. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing, led by detectives from the Met’s West Area CID.

“Police cordons are in place in and around Kingsley Road, Hounslow.”
