ans face travel disruption for next month’s north London derby because of a planned rail strike on the day.

Premier League leaders Arsenal are scheduled to host Tottenham at the Emirates on Saturday October 1.

But union Aslef confirmed on Tuesday that its strike action would take place that day with the RMT also set to announce later that they are also planning to strike on the same Saturday.

It likely means no London Overground trains to Highbury & Islington nor any Great Anglia Trains to Finsbury Park. The underground, however, is still expected to run as anticipated on the day.

The Gunners went into the string of autumn internationals at the top of the league on 18 points with seven wins and just one defeat, to Manchester United.

Their most recent match was a comprehensive 3-0 demolition of Brentford on Sunday to put them a point clear of both Manchester City and Tottenham.

Spurs, meanwhile, lie third in the table following a 6-2 drubbing of bottom-of-the-league Leicester, which included a 13-minute hat-trick from Heung-Min Son.
