Millwall set for attacking boost ahead of QPR clash – South London News

Millwall manager Gary Rowett is hoping that Tyler Burey is available for Wednesday’s night’s home game against QPR.

The winger was a major doubt for Saturday’s fixture at Sunderland after picking up a knee injury.

But the Lions’ fixture at the Stadium of Light was postponed as the EFL cancelled all matches as a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on Thursday.

“Tyler might have a chance of being back,” Rowett told the South London Press this morning. “He did a little bit of training. He’s due to potentially join in with training this morning. That’s the plan. But until he gets through that session and we see how he is [it’s difficult to judge]. He has all his rehab, so they see it as no real reason why he can’t join in today with something.

“That will be a real positive.

“We’ve got a couple of tight hamstrings and the usual sort of stuff but I don’t envisage anyone will miss Wednesday due to that.

“Tyler will probably be added to what we’ve got at the moment, which will be good.”

Ryan Leonard (hamstring), Mason Bennett (hamstring) and Shaun Hutchinson (groin) are all still sidelined.
