Millwall centre-back facing up to a month on the sidelines – South London News

Millwall defender Shaun Hutchinson is set to be missing for around a month after injuring his groin in Millwall’s 2-0 win over Cardiff City on Saturday.

The Lions captain went down with the problem in the second half and was replaced by Charlie Cresswell. The Leeds loanee then headed the hosts in front from a Scott Malone corner.

“We think it is a grade two, like Bradders [Tom Bradshaw],” Millwall boss Gary Rowett told the South London Press. “I would imagine, with an exact prognosis, it will be a three or four-weeker.

“I’ll check tomorrow with my medical team to see where we are at. But it looks to be a similar tear [to the one Bradshaw experienced]. Hence the way he [Hutchinson] went down straight away and said he felt a pop.”
