Emergency services called to Harrow following incident in shopping centre

Police were called to Harrow Town Centre yesterday after calls of concern for a male in St Anns Shopping Centre.

Members of Harrow Online had enquired about the reasoning behind multiple police cars and ambulances outside both St Anns Shopping Centre and St George’s shortly before 2pm yesterday afternoon (31 August).

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.17pm yesterday (Wednesday) to reports of an incident at St Ann’s shopping centre, St Ann’s Road, Harrow.

“We sent two ambulance crews and a medic in a response car. We treated a man at the scene before taking him to hospital.”

The ambulance spotted in Harrow.

Met Police told Harrow Online: “Police were called by a member of the public to St Ann’s Shopping Centre at 1.55pm on Wednesday 31st August 2022, following calls concerning the welfare of a male in the shopping centre.

“The male appeared to have sustained self-inflicted injuries, and as such London Ambulance Service were also called to provide appropriate treatment and take the male to hospital.”
