Millwall duo may boost bench options for Norwich City test – South London News

Zian Flemming and Tom Bradshaw could be set to return to the Millwall bench for tomorrow night’s Championship fixture at Norwich.

Dutchman Flemming (knee) has not featured since the opening day of the season.

Bradshaw came off in the EFL Cup tie against Cambridge with a groin problem.

“If there was a true best time for them to come back into training it would be Monday,” said Lions boss Gary Rowett. “But because of the game Friday night, it has put us in a position where we’ve tried to see if we can get them back for a period off the bench late in the game – just to give us a bit of impact because of our attacking numbers and attacking options.

“Vogey [Andreas Voglsammer] and Tanto [Isaac Olaofe] were the only true attacking options that were available off the bench at Swansea. You’d like three or four with the chance to chase it and change the game late on.

“They will probably both do some training today with the team. We won’t do a lot, of course. We’ll assess them afterwards and see whether it is worth them travelling with us, or do we just get through the game knowing we’ve got a week of training next week to get them really up to speed.

“We’ll do a little bit of work tomorrow morning, as to the team.

“It’s going to be quite a sporadic couple of games because of the game Tuesday night. We won’t be doing an awful lot but what we do we will make decisions around. The main thing is they are both making very good progress. They won’t be a million miles away from being available.”

Mason Bennett (hamstring) is set to be out between six to eight weeks.
