West Ham exit for Nikola Vlasic could open door for PL midfielder arrival

West Ham United midfielder Nikola Vlasic is set to secure his London Stadium exit and that could open the door for Ruben Loftus-Cheek to join the Hammers.

According to Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio (via his website on 9 August), Torino are closing in on a loan to buy deal for Vlasic which is worth £15million.

ExWHUemployee revealed (via his Patreon, 9 August) that West Ham could now turn their attention to Loftus-Cheek after growing frustrated in their attempts to sign his Chelsea teammate Conor Gallagher.

As much as West Ham have been active in the transfer market this summer, Moyes will have to let players leave the club in order to allow for further arrivals at the London Stadium.

Vlasic is certainly a player that needs his time at the club to come to an end after his big-money move in the summer of 2021.

The Croatian’s imminent exit will allow for Moyes to free up some space on his wage bill and that could see now accelerate his pursuit of Loftus-Cheek.

The 26-year-old has been a mainstay at Stamford Bridge for a number of years, despite not making a massive impression on proceedings at the West London club.

He would be a reliable addition at the London Stadium with a vast amount of Premier League experience.

Furthermore, the Englishman may be inclined to finally move on from Chelsea after a string of loan spells.

A new home for Loftus-Cheek could well see him thrive and under Moyes, it would not be a shock to see him go on to be a success if he did make the move to East London.
