Tottenham Hotspur Confident Of Wrapping Up Signing In Coming Days

Tottenham Hotspur are confident of wrapping up a deal to snap up Destiny Udogie from Udinese in the coming days, according to football.london.

Since the appointment of Fabio Paratici as their managing director of football, a majority of Tottenham’s new signings have come from Italy.

Wing-backs play a crucial role in Tottenham boss Antonio Conte’s preferred formation and they have already bolstered their options by roping in Ivan Perisic and Djed Spence.

And the north London giants have zeroed in on yet another Serie A talent that can slot in at wing-back in the shape of Udinese starlet Udogie.

Tottenham have been in talks with Udinese over a deal for the 19-year-old and are closing in on securing his signature on a permanent basis.

Spurs are confident they can seal a deal for the teenager in the coming days while he will immediately be allowed to return on loan at Udinese for this season to kick on with his development.

Tottenham see Udogie as a player that can play for them in the left-wing back role while they currently have the likes of Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon and Sergio Reguilon there.

Spurs are tipped to have agreed to terms on a five-year contract with Udogie, who has represented his country Italy at youth level.
