AFC Wimbledon determined not to let prize youngsters leave for knockdown fees – South London News

Johnni Jackson has reiterated that none of AFC Wimbledon’s prize young talents will be leaving on the cheap this summer.

The Dons know that there is significant interest in Jack Rudoni with Sunderland, Huddersfield and Bristol City all keen on the young attacking midfielder.

But Wimbledon are ready to dig their heels in to get value for money, despite the fact they have dropped into League Two next season.

Ayoub Assal and Luke McCormick have also been linked with summer exits.

Rudoni resumed pre-season training with Wimbledon last week.

Dons boss Jackson told the South London Press: “We ain’t in the business of selling our best young players. We understand that everyone has got a valuation but it would take something substantial – and I mean substantial – to come in. Then we’d consider them.

“But, if not, then we won’t look to sell.”
