Police ran into a familiar face when they arrested the driver of a vehicle for drug driving. Surrey Police at Cooksbridge stopped the same driver last month for a similar offence – and Sussex Roads Police did the honours earlier today.
The driver was stopped and he tested positive for cannabis, which was also found inside his vehicle. Officers tweeted at 9.42pm: “Arrested, bloods taken, awaiting results.”
Drivers caught and convicted of drug driving can receive a minimum 12-month driving ban; a criminal record; an unlimited fine, and up to six months in prison. Drivers will also have an endorsement on their licence which will last for 11 years.
