Around 60 firefighters are battling a fire at a high rise block of flats in London.
Eight fire engines are also at the scene on Queensdale Crescent in Shephard’s Bush, near to Grenfell Tower.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) has confirmed that half of a flat on the 12th floor of the residential block is alight.
One eyewitness said she heard sirens from West London and felt “physically sick” after seeing how close the fire is to Grenfell Tower, with photos showing smoke billowing from a building with Grenfell sitting in the foreground.
Firefighters were first called to the scene at 9.23am this morning.
The cause of the fire isn’t known at this stage, the fire service added.
LFB says it received over 30 999 calls to the fire in the W11 postcode.
