London clubs left in the dark as United move for Christian Eriksen | Sport

Christian Eriksen is mulling over an offer from Manchester United after Tottenham Hotspur distanced themselves from claims that they are set to re-sign the Denmark midfielder.

It is understood that Spurs have not heard anything from Eriksen’s camp for the past two weeks. Brentford, the club with whom Eriksen spent the final six months of last season, have offered him a contract but at present they are in the dark over the Dane’s plans.

Eriksen’s contract with the west London club expires on June 30, though Thomas Frank, the Brentford head coach, tried to persuade Eriksen to stay at the club when they met for dinner in Denmark last week.
