Uxbridge crash live: Updates after moped driver and passenger rushed to hospital after being hit by a car

A moped rider and their passenger have been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in West London. Emergency services rushed to the scene at St Andrews Roundabout in Uxbridge shortly before 5pm today (June 19) following reports of a car colliding with a moped.

Two people have been taken to hospital, where their condition is unknown. Traffic data company Inrix reported that the road was closed for around four hours between Park Road Roundabout and Burton Road.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told MyLondon : “Police were called at about 16:40hrs on Sunday, 19 June to reports of a car in collision with a moped at St Andrews Roundabout on Hillingdon Road in Uxbridge.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. The rider and pillion passenger have been taken to hospital for treatment.”

The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for further information.
