Lea Bridge incident live: Updates as emergency services rush to scene in North East London

Emergency services are attending to an incident near Lea Bridge tonight (June 18). Pictures from the scene show a number of emergency services vehicles on the A104 close to the train station with a cordon in place.

Waltham Forest Council confirmed on social media that emergency services are attending to an incident. They said: “We have received information that Flempton Road junction with Lea Bridge and Overton Road is currently closed, whilst emergency services deal with an incident.

They confirmed that Lea Bridge is not closed and urged residents to be patient while they work.
