Tower Hamlets stabbing: Man rushed to hospital with slash injuries after fight in Sainsbury’s

A man has been rushed to hospital after a fight broke out in a supermarket in Tower Hamlets today. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Commercial Road shortly after 12:00PM on Tuesday (June 14) following reports of a stabbing in Sainsbury’s.

Paramedics and police officers at the scene discovered a man, aged 18-years-old, with slash wounds. The London Ambulance Service (LAS) treated the victim at the scene for injuries to the head and abdomen, before taking him to a major trauma centre as a priority.

Met Police confirmed his condition was assessed as not life-threatening. In a video posted to social media, a police cordon was put in place around the store as emergency services responded to the incident.
