Police say they are concerned for the welfare of a 17-year-old girl missing from Lancashire. The teenager, who has been identified only as Shaytoyia, was last seen in Blackpool town centre two days ago (Sunday, June 12).
However, police say Shaytoyia is known to travel across London, including Stratford. Officers now believe she may be somewhere in Hackney.
Hackney Police issued an appeal to try and trace her late this evening (Tuesday), saying her family are worried about her. The appeal, posted online by the force, read: “Shaytoyia, 17, is missing – last seen Blackpool town centre 12 Jun & now believed to be in Hackney.
“She is originally from Lancashire. Known to travel across London including Stratford, Newham. Her family and police are concerned for her welfare – if seen call 101 ref 22MIS020330”.
