Former minister Jesse Norman has submitted a no confidence letter in Boris Johnson.

Mr Norman shared a copy of the letter on his Twitter page and wrote: “I have supported Boris Johnson for 15 years, for the London Mayoralty and for PM. Very sadly, I have written to him to say I can no longer do so, for the reasons set out below.”

In the letter, the MP for Hereford and South Herefordshire has said that the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, is putting “the Union gravely at risk”, and his response to the Partygate scandal has been “grotesque”.
