Southwark live: ‘Emergency services incident’ forces closure of South London road

A road in Southwark is closed in both directions due to an “emergency services incident”. The incident has reportedly been ongoing since just before 1pm today (Saturday, June 4).

According to traffic monitoring website Inrix, the A300 Southwark Bridge Road is closed in both directions, with slow traffic between A3200 Southwark Street and A3201 Marshalsea Road. There is also a diversion in place for bus route 344.

MyLondon has contacted the Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service for more information on the incident.
