A woman has been found dead in a car on a quiet road in Bromley. Emergency services rushed to the scene in Glovers Close, Biggin Hill shortly after 1pm on Saturday (May 8), where they discovered her body.

Local residents reported that a police cordon was in place at the scene for several hours, while people could be seen wearing blue hazmat suits. The police confirmed that specialist support was requested after officers suspected that hazardous chemicals were present inside the car.

The quiet street, situated on the fringes of Bromley and Kent just a stone’s throw away from Biggin Hill Airport, was swarmed by emergency services, with one eyewitness saying that a fire engine, a number of police cars and three ambulances attended the incident. Investigations are ongoing, while police officers are working to identify the woman so that her family can be informed.
