Wealdstone stabbing live: Man, 22, rushed to hospital after being knifed on high street in broad daylight

A 22-year-old man has been rushed to hospital after being knifed on Wealdstone High Street in broad daylight today (Thursday, May 5). Police were called at 5.31pm to reports of a stabbing and attended the scene in Harrow with the London Ambulance Service.

The emergency services found a 22-year-old man with stab wounds and rushed him to a west London hospital, where his injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening.

A Met investigation is underway, but there have been no arrests so far. A crime scene is currently in place in the area, with road closures being reported. The A409 High Road in Wealdstone in both directions is closed, according to Inrix, with queueing traffic due to the police incident between Locket Road and Spencer Road. Four bus routes are also on diversion.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has other relevant information is urged to call police on 101, giving the reference 5673/05MAY. Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
