Inside Keith Lemon’s boozy pub birthday with celeb pals as star approaches milestone

KEITH Lemon was joined by a string of celebs on his birthday as he turned 49 years old.

The star headed to a pub with singers Emma Bunton and her partner Jade jones, Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts and soap star Will Mellor.

The group enjoyed a boozy afternoon with Keith sharing snaps on Instagram with his 2million fans.

The star – real name Leigh Francis – was also joined by his Celebrity Juice team captain Laura Whitmore.

Former Radio 1 star Chris Moyles also joined the pub party at the Princess of Wales in Primrose Hill.

Leigh was a student at Leeds College of Art before making his name in TV.

As well as being a major TV personality, presenting shows like Thought the Keyhole Leigh has written best selling books based on the life of Keith Lemon – his alter ego.

His wife Jill is a director of both his production companies including Bang Tidy and Pretty Good.

The Leeds-born star is best known for sketch show Bo Selecta!.

He married his wife Jill, a beauty therapist, in 2002 at Allerton Castle, North Yorkshire.

The couple have one daughter, Matilda and live together in North London.

He was discovered by television presenter Davina McCall, who spotted him when he was doing stand-up comedy.

The TV star recently announced a festival in tribute to friend Caroline Flack.

Friends and family of Caroline have announced the day festival to be held on July 25.

It will celebrate her life with acts from the worlds of comedy, dance and music, and will also raise funds for mental health charities.

Singers Natalie Imbruglia, Louise Redknapp and Fleur East are among the first acts to be announced for the event, which will be held in the grounds of Englefield House, near Pangbourne in Berkshire.

The event committee is comprised of Caroline’s mother Christine and her sister Jody, as well as her close friends Dawn O’Porter, Natalie Pinkham, Anna Blue, Sarah Tyekiff and Leigh and Jill Francis.

Celebrity appearances on the day will also include Professor Green, TV presenter Dermot O’Leary, Kirsty Gallacher, Paddy McGuinness, Joel Dommett, Noel Fielding and June Sarpong.

Strictly Come Dancing stars Janette Manrara and her husband Aljaz Skorjanec will also be in attendance.
