Teenager rushed to hospital with head injury after ‘large fight’ in Chingford

A teenage boy was rushed to hospital with a head injury this morning after a “large fight” in East London. The 19-year-old was taken away by medics after the incident on Station Road, Chingford, around 2.30am on Saturday (April 30).

Police descended upon the scene of the fight but have so far made no arrests. They are still trying to work out what happened with a crime scene in place while forensic enquiries continue behind the cordon.

Police went to lengths to say it was “not a stabbing” after another week of violence in the capital. Londoners were reeling after a quadruple killing in Bermondsey on Monday, and a spate of other violent crimes across the week.
