An e-scooter rider was lying in the street for two hours before he was found following a crash. The man, believed to be in his 30s, is in a critical condition after coming off the e-scooter on Cricklewood Broadway in the early hours of Saturday (April 23).
The Met Police said they believe he fell off the scooter at approximately 4am. A spokesperson for the Met told MyLondon it wasn’t until around 6am that he was found by a member of the public and police were called to the scene.
The Met and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene and the man was taken to hospital where he remains. A police cordon was set up near McDonald’s on Cricklewood Broadway and the Met’s radar evidence team attended. A puffer jacket was seen lying in the street within the police cordon.

At this stage, the Met said there is not believed to be any third party involvement in the rider coming off his e-scooter. Police are continuing to appeal for information or footage of the incident and anyone who can help is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 1444/23April.
The scene remained cordoned off for most of Saturday but the road has now reopened. The man’s condition is still said to be critical.
