A major West London road is shut this evening (April 25) after a ‘suspicious package’ was reportedly found. Metropolitan Police officers rushed to the scene on the A404 Harrow Road in West Kilburn after reports of an unidentified package.
The road is closed in both directions from the junctions to First Avenue to Third Avenue. Drivers are advised to use an alternative route.
Videos taken by witnesses at the scene show at least two police vans, with a cordon set up. The street is a busy area with lots of independent shops and a block of flats.
The Metropolitan Police Service has been contacted for more information.
