There are long delays on the M25 due to a multi-vehicle crash near Cheshunt.

There are tailbacks on the London Orbital motorway anti-clockwise between junction 27 (M11, Epping) and junction 25 (A10, Enfield).

Traffic was temporarily stopped during the incident, which began shortly before 1pm today (Sunday, April 24).

Lane four (of four) is currently closed, according to National Highways.

A highways statement reads: “Lane closures are in place now on the M25 anti-clockwise between junction 26 (A121, Waltham Cross) and junction 25.

“Some of the vehicles are substantially damaged at the front which means towing them to the side wasn’t possible without causing oil/debris to be spread across the road.

“Recovery arranged and en-route.”

National Highways confirmed there were no injuries.
