A woman has died after weeks in hospital being treated for injuries following a flat fire in South East London. On April 7, four fire engines and 25 firefighters were called to Boundfield Road, Catford. Emergency services attended the flat fire at 8.34pm.

The two-roomed property was on the ground floor of the building. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus to rescue the woman from the flat. She was taken to hospital via air ambulance. She has since sadly died, authorities confirmed today.

The fire was under control by 9.40pm that night. There were firefighter crews in attendance from Lewisham, Bromley, Lee Green, and Forest Hill stations.
