Brixton stabbing live: Updates after boy, 16, fighting for life after attack

A teenage boy is fighting for his life after a stabbing in Brixton. Police rushed to St Matthew’s Road at around 7.30pm yesterday (Monday, April 4).

At the scene, officers and paramedics found the boy, aged just 16, suffering from stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

A crime scene remains in place. No arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Police were called at 7.38pm on Monday, April 4 to reports of a stabbing in St Matthew’s Road, SW2. Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found a 16-year-old boy suffering stab injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

“Enquiries are ongoing and a crime scene remains in place. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 6036/04Apr. To remain anonymous contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
