Newham murder: Man, 20, found stabbed to death in East London home

A 20-year-old man has been found stabbed to death at a home in East London. Police say they were called to Hudson Close, Plaistow, Newham after reports of the stabbing yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, April 19).

Officers arrived at the scene at 3.20pm, along with paramedics from LAS and London’s Ambulance Service. However, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they believe they know the victim’s identity, and his next of kin has been informed and they are being ‘supported by specialist officers’. There have so far been no arrests. A huge cordon is in place in the area today, with the tower block called Nicholas Point entirely taped off by police officers.

A Met Police spokesperson told MyLondon: “Police were called at 3.21pm on Tuesday, April 19 to a residential address in Hudson Close, E15 following reports of a stabbing. Officers responded with LAS and London’s Air Ambulance.

“A 20-year-old man was found with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe they know the man’s identity.

“His next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specialist officers. At this very early stage there have been no arrests. Police are working to establish the circumstances and a crime scene is in place.”
