A man has been arrested following an incident in Central London earlier this morning. Officers from the Met Police assisted the Ministry of Defence Police at Horse Guards, Westminster following an incident in the area.
The Met have confirmed that a 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, saying: “A 29-yr-old has man has been arrested and is in custody. There are no reports of any injuries & there is no known risk to the public.”
The road was cordoned off between Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square as emergency services rushed to the scene. Police said officers will confirm more details about what happened in due course.
