Police appeal after man found in van on side of the M11 dies

Police are appealing for information after a man was found in a van on the side of a motorway in North East London in desperate need of hospital treatment. The man was rushed to hospital and has since died. Police are treating his death as “unexplained” and are asking anyone who noticed any “suspicious behaviour” in the area to come forward.

Essex Police attended reports of an unattended dark-coloured van on the hard shoulder of the M11 between Redbridge roundabout and Loughton shortly after 8pm on Monday April 11.

Officers found a man in the vehicle in need of hospital treatment. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but has since died.

Launching an appeal on Sunday (April 17), Essex Police said they are looking for witnesses and dashcam footage of “any suspicious behaviour”.

In a statement, the force said: “We are now appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious behaviour on the M11 between the Redbridge roundabout and Loughton between 7.30pm and 8.10pm on Monday (April 11) or caught any suspicious behaviour on dashcam to come forward.
