Lewisham stabbing: Boy, 16, dies after being knifed next to school during fight

A 16-year-old boy has died after being stabbed multiple times during a fight in Angus Street, New Cross, in southeast London. No arrests have been made

A teenage boy has been stabbed to death at a park in broad daylight.

The unnamed 16-year-old was found by police with stab wounds in Fordham Park, on the New Cross and Deptford border, southeast London, on Wednesday afternoon.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, despite the efforts of paramedics.

An emergency call had been made at 4.06pm with reports of a fight in progress in Angus Street.

No arrests have been made at this stage, the Met Police said.

Officers had responded to the incident with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

Police were called to Angus Street, Lewisham, on Wednesday afternoon



His family are aware.

A crime scene remains in place and urgent enquiries are ongoing.

A Section 60 Order granting police additional stop and search powers has been authorised for the entirety of the borough of Lewisham.
